Morocco and ICAO Strengthen Civil Aviation Cooperation with New Agreement
Morocco and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) formalized their commitment too enhanced collaboration with the signing of a management service agreement on September 23, 2023, in Montreal.The agreement took place on the sidelines of the 42nd session of the ICAO Assembly,which ran from September 23 to October 3 and was led by Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics.
The agreement was signed by Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, and ICAO secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar. It focuses on developing cooperation in training and providing technical support related to the security and safety of civil aviation.
Following the signing ceremony, attended by Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the ICAO council, Secretary General Salazar expressed his gratitude for the partnership between ICAO and Morocco. He specifically lauded the Moroccan delegation’s active engagement during the 42nd Assembly.
