Vehicle Explosion Causes ⁣Damage, No Injuries Reported

A Toyota Land Cruiser Prado​ exploded in teh courtyard of a residential building on Raduzhnaya Street in Moscow at ⁤approximately⁣ 9:40 a.m. local‌ time on December 1, 2024. Witnesses‍ reported a ⁢powerful initial blast followed by subsequent explosions as ‍the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames. The⁢ shockwave⁢ from ​the⁢ explosion shattered windows ⁢on the third and fourth floors of a ‍neighboring apartment‍ building, scattering glass onto balconies and into apartments.

Emergency Response ​and Investigation

Firefighters from the Moscow Ministry of Emergency Situations extinguished the blaze within minutes of arrival. Authorities confirmed the vehicle was unoccupied at the time ⁤of the explosion and, thankfully, no injuries were reported. The Moscow Investigative⁣ Committee is currently examining ‌the wreckage to determine the cause of⁢ the incident.

Preliminary investigations have not yet steadfast whether the explosion was the result of​ a technical malfunction, arson, or the use of an ⁤improvised explosive device. The area surrounding the building has been cordoned off to facilitate the investigation.
