JEREZ, Spain (AP) — Marc Marquez topped the time sheets at the official MotoGP‌ test in Jerez on Monday, but Yamaha showed significant betterment, keeping the competition close.

Yamaha Riders Lead early, Marquez Strikes Late

Fabio​ Quartararo and Alex Rins, piloting their M1s, initially dominated the timing monitors. The Yamaha duo set a blistering pace immediately after the lunch break at the Circuito de Jerez.
