A motorcyclist survived a fiery crash in a San Antonio, Texas, neighborhood on April 3, 2026, after the vehicle skidded across a residential street and exploded, nearly striking two school children.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Near the intersection of Wooden Fox and Oakwood Crest. Ring camera footage captured the moment two children, wearing backpacks and standing on a street corner, were nearly hit as the motorcycle lost control while turning a corner.
The motorcycle burst into flames upon hitting a curb, creating a fireball that briefly consumed the area where the children were standing before they were able to reach safety.
Emergency Response and Aftermath
The unnamed rider was seen emerging from the flames while still on fire and dashing across the street. A neighbor intervened, using a garden hose to douse the flames on the rider.
According to reports from WOAI-TV and San Antonio Today, all parties involved walked away from the scene. The rider had reportedly been speeding when he lost control of the vehicle at the corner.

This accident occurred two days after another motorcycle crash in San Antonio on April 1, 2026. In that separate incident, an unidentified rider was hospitalized with serious back and leg injuries.
That previous crash took place shortly before 8 a.m. On a busy West Side highway. According to WOAI-TV, the rider had been weaving through traffic while fleeing from sheriff’s deputies before losing control and landing face-down on the pavement.
