Motorcycle Accident in La Matanza
Villa Luzuriaga, Argentina — A serious traffic accident occurred early Friday at the border of Villa Luzuriaga and Isidro Casanova in la Matanza, Buenos Aires province, leaving two people injured. The incident involved a motorcycle carrying two individuals and a car.
According to reports, the motorcycle, driven by a man named Daniel, was carrying fatima, 29, a mother of two. Fatima stated that Daniel, whom she had recently met, offered her a ride to the geriatric facility where she works.
The collision occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Witnesses and security camera footage indicate that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed on Venezuela Street. Daniel allegedly attempted to run a red light and, in an effort to avoid oncoming traffic, collided with a car turning left from Alicante Street.
The impact ejected both Fatima and Daniel from the motorcycle. Both were transported to Paroissien Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Fatima reported suffering a double fracture of her tibia and fibula in one leg, as well as cracked ribs. She remains hospitalized and has stated that she is facing significant financial challenges due to the cost of the necessary surgical intervention.
“They gave me the recipe for screws and nails; I have to raise 859 thousand pesos to operate,” Fatima told *A24*. “I have neither prepaid [insurance] or social work. I recently started working in the geriatric.” Her two children, ages 7 and 9, are currently being cared for by her grandmother.
Daniel, the motorcycle driver, is also hospitalized. Fatima said she attempted to contact him several days after the accident to inquire about his condition. “I sent him messages yesterday (monday), when I was a little better. I told him that I hope he is fine and he wished me the same, but after [that], he blocked me from all social networks,” she stated.
