Mount Union Dominates Salisbury, Advances to‌ Division III Semifinals

alliance, Ohio – The Mount Union Purple Raiders ⁤are headed‌ back to⁣ the NCAA Division III football national semifinals ‍after a resounding 38-17 victory⁤ over Salisbury University on ⁢Saturday.

Quarterback TJ DeShields had⁣ a career​ day, throwing ‌for 295 yards and three touchdowns, leading⁤ the Purple Raiders’‌ offensive​ onslaught. Running back Tyler Echeverry added two rushing touchdowns, while Tyrell Sanders hauled in seven catches for 126 ⁤yards and a score.

The victory⁤ sends ‍Mount Union (13-0) to the national semifinals‍ for the 27th time in the ⁢last ‌29 seasons. They will face Johns Hopkins next Saturday at Larry Kehres Stadium, with the​ time to be steadfast.

Alliance, ohio – The Mount ​Union Purple Raiders continued their march towards a national championship, dismantling‌ the Salisbury Sea Gulls 31-10 in a dominant quarterfinal performance Saturday.

The​ victory propels the Purple Raiders (13-0) into the NCAA Division III semifinals, where they will face the winner of the North Central-Linfield matchup.

Mount Union’s⁤ defense⁢ was suffocating, limiting Salisbury to just 10‌ points. Linebacker Rossy Moore led the charge with a career-high 13 tackles, two tackles for loss, ‌and two sacks.
