Ken Anderson Launches New Show, Slams “Clickbait” Wrestling Media

Former Mr. Kennedy, Ken Anderson, has finally stepped into the podcasting arena with ‍his own show, a move he says was driven by a desire to control his narrative and combat the frustrations of wrestling media twisting his words. In a candid interview on The Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val, Anderson detailed his motivations, his disdain for “clickbait” headlines, and ⁢what fans can expect from his new venture.

Anderson revealed that the idea of hosting his own show has been a long time ⁣coming. “I’ve always wanted to do it,” he stated. “I just wanted to make sure that I did it right, and I found what I feel⁣ like are the right people. The timing is right. I’m ready to⁣ talk about certain things ⁢that I wasn’t… ⁢there’s no sour grapes or anything⁤ like that. It’s just… the missteps that I did took along the way, I ‍wanna you know, we’re gonna talk about everything.”

Taking on clickbait Wrestling Media

A meaningful catalyst for Anderson ⁣creating his ⁢own platform was his ⁢personal experience with wrestling media outlets that he feels sensationalize and misrepresent his statements. he shared a notably galling example from his time working⁢ for Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) in scotland, shortly after his departure ⁣from TNA.

“they told me, like, ‘you can ⁤say whatever you ‍want’… And‍ they were like, ‘they hate TNA here. They hate TNA.’ So I was ⁢like,’okay, here we go. We’re gonna have some fun,'” Anderson recounted. He⁢ explained his on-air comments, which ⁣included a strong anti-TNA sentiment followed ‍by a direct address to the audience: “‘Well, you know, ⁣I don’t work for ‍them anymore. So yeah, F TNA.’ And I said that. And then they were like… I’m a heel, so I had to turn it around. ⁢I was like, ‘Well, but I don’t really care ⁣what you think. So F you too.'”

the intended nuance of his promo was, according to Anderson, completely lost in translation ‍by the media. “Well, somebody just went in, like sharp, spliced out ⁣that little part, and ‘Ken Anderson says F TNA,’ and then that became this huge, huge thing,” he lamented. This experience fueled his desire for a platform where he could present his thoughts and stories without the⁤ distortion of sensationalized headlines.

“Talking Shop With My Friends”

Anderson ⁣emphasized that his new show is⁢ designed to be a stark contrast ⁢to the “gotcha” interview style he has encountered and dislikes. His vision is to foster organic, enjoyable conversations with his peers, rather than‍ subjecting them to interrogative sessions. The⁤ choice of The Undertaker ‍as his inaugural guest set the tone for the series, highlighting the relaxed and familiar atmosphere Anderson aims to cultivate.

“I‍ told the guys ahead of time.I was like, ‘I want this to be just talking shop with my friends.’ Like, we’re not gonna,⁢ it’s not gonna be ‍an ‍interview. It’s gonna be just, we’re just BS-ing,” Anderson explained. He further elaborated on⁢ his pet peeves with conventional interviews: “Some of the worst interviews that I’ve ever done… somebody will go on Wikipedia, ⁣and they’ll get a list of… who was my⁤ favourite wrestler, how I got in the business. And then‍ they go⁤ and they proceed to, like, ask you to, like, check⁤ off and confirm ‍what they already know. instead of like this, we’re just⁣ having a little chat.”

Fans can anticipate a more authentic and unvarnished look at the wrestling world through Anderson’s new show, where ⁤he aims to share his experiences‍ and insights in a genuine, conversational format. This interview is exclusive to WrestlingNews.co.
