Authorities confirmed on September 1, 2025, that the Sayyida Zainab Police Department had not received any formal reports concerning the event prior to the video’s circulation. Investigators quickly identified the individual involved as a local resident employed as a ”Sais” - a traditionally informal transport worker – and discovered he had a prior criminal record.
Accused Admits to Deliberate Act
