MEDLOG Acquires⁢ UK Logistics ⁣Operator Maritime Group Limited

MEDLOG, ‌a leading logistics and supply ⁢chain provider owned ⁣by MSC, has successfully completed‍ the acquisition ​of Maritime ⁢Group Limited (Maritime), a prominent UK‌ logistics‍ operator.

The acquisition was finalized⁤ on September 2, ​marking a significant milestone in MEDLOG’s⁢ expansion strategy.

John⁤ Williams, Executive Chairman⁢ of the ⁢Maritime Group,⁣ expressed⁣ his enthusiasm for the ⁢acquisition, ⁤stating, “We are very​ pleased to have secured the long-term future of⁤ the business as part of an independent global logistics organisation that can provide ongoing investment to help us deliver on our exciting plans to grow the company for all of our stakeholders.”

Williams further emphasized‍ the company’s commitment to ‍innovation and sustainability, saying,⁢ “We will continue ‌to develop practical, technology-driven, infrastructure-led ⁣supply chain solutions and⁢ set high ⁤standards for service performance⁤ in the UK by ordering ⁤new battery electric trucks and rail terminals ⁣operating on ⁢an open access basis for existing and⁣ new ​customers.”

Maritime, founded 23​ years ago, ‍has established itself‍ as ​one of the UK’s top logistics providers, renowned for its flexible and innovative approach. With ⁤a workforce of 3,000 staff and⁤ a ​state-of-the-art network of 41 sites across the UK,⁢ Maritime offers a comprehensive range of integrated road and rail freight logistics services, including container transport and warehousing, domestic distribution, freight management, and truck ‌sales.

Following the⁣ acquisition, Maritime’s current management team, led by John ⁢Williams, will continue ‍to operate the⁤ business under the ‘Maritime’ brand, supported by new investment from‌ MEDLOG. Operations will continue uninterrupted, ‌ensuring ⁤a seamless transition for customers‌ and stakeholders.
