Fox News channel (FNC) maintained its dominance in cable news ratings, leading in both total viewers and the critical 25-54 demographic. MSNBC’s viewership lagged,though Nicole Wallace secured the network’s top spot. CNN trailed both networks in key metrics.
In the 25-54 demographic, fox News averaged 199,000 viewers throughout the day and 298,000 during prime time. CNN drew 67,000 and 73,000, respectively, while MSNBC garnered 45,000 and 65,000.
Looking at total viewers, Fox News averaged 1.771 million throughout the day and 2.816 million in prime time. CNN averaged 379,000 and 429,000, while MSNBC had 563,000 and 888,000, respectively. The cable news ratings reflect audience preferences.
