Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has come to the defense of Tucker Carlson after Donald Trump labeled the former Fox News host “kooky” for questioning Trump’s support of Israel’s strikes against Iran. The Georgia congresswoman voiced her support on X, formerly Twitter.
Trump’s criticism came in a Truth Social post where he urged someone to explain to “kooky Tucker Carlson” that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Greene responded by telling her followers that Carlson is one of her favorite people, who fiercely loves his family and country.
“As being fired by the neocon network Fox News, he has more popularity and viewers than ever before,” Greene wrote. “He unapologetically believes the same things I do. That if we don’t fight for our own country and our own people then we will no longer have a country for our children and our grandchildren. And foreign wars/intervention/regime change put America last, kill innocent people, are making us broke, and will ultimately lead to our destruction. That’s not kooky. That’s what millions of Americans voted for. It’s what we beleive is America First.”

Greene’s defense of carlson followed her declaration that “everyone is finding out who are real America First/MAGA and who were fake,” suggesting that Trump’s stance on the Israel-Iran conflict might disqualify him as a true MAGA figure.
In an interview with Matt Gaetz, Greene also accused Fox News of “brainwashing” Americans into supporting war with Iran. She stated that both right-leaning and left-leaning media engage in propaganda, leading Americans to believe that foreign wars are necessary for survival.
Carlson has also criticized Fox News, accusing the network of using propaganda to manipulate elderly viewers. He did not comment on whether he spread propaganda during his time at the network.
Laura Loomer,a conspiracy theorist, has called on her followers to share screenshots of Republicans’ negative comments about Trump.
