Multiple Earthquakes Hit Lugo Province Early Saturday, Largest Measuring 3.9 on Richter Scale

Sixteen seismic events were recorded in the early hours of Saturday in the province of Lugo, Spain, with the strongest measuring magnitude 3.9 on the Richter scale.
The National Geographic Institute reported the series of seismic movements to Galicia’s emergency services (112 Galicia), confirming that no incidents or damage resulted from the tremors.
The earthquakes occurred between 3:00 a.m. And 3:15 a.m., all exceeding magnitude 2.5 and reaching up to 3.9.
The largest quake, at magnitude 3.9, took place at 3:12 a.m. In Triacastela, which also recorded additional quakes of magnitudes 3.4, 3.1, 3.0 and 2.9.
In Becerreá, seismic activity registered magnitudes 3.1 and 2.5, while in Baralla, a single event measured 2.5.
All events were confined to the municipalities of Triacastela, Baralla, and Becerreá in the province of Lugo.
