The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, warning‌ residents of continued heavy showers that could lead to further disruptions. The ⁢BMC also issued high and low⁤ tide alerts. The Mumbai rains have highlighted the city’s⁢ vulnerability to monsoon disruptions, prompting concerns about urban flooding.

The Regional Meteorological Center in Mumbai indicated that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and​ intense spells of rain with gusty winds reaching ‌50-60 kmph are very ‍likely to occur at isolated places in Mumbai districts ⁢within the next ‌few ​hours.
