Commuters faced trouble as rain lashed parts of the city sence morning,impacting local train services and road traffic.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, warning residents of continued heavy showers that could lead to further disruptions. The BMC also issued high and low tide alerts. The Mumbai rains have highlighted the city’s vulnerability to monsoon disruptions, prompting concerns about urban flooding.
Mumbai Police reported slower traffic movement in several areas, including J.J. bridge South Bound, band Stand Junction, Worli Naka A.B Road North Bound, Elphiston Bridge, Narayan Dabholakar Road, Freeway South Bound, Avatar Singh Bedi, and the Andheri Subway.

The Regional Meteorological Center in Mumbai indicated that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and intense spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 50-60 kmph are very likely to occur at isolated places in Mumbai districts within the next few hours.
SpiceJet reported on social media that all departures and arrivals, along with their consequential flights, were affected due to the heavy rain in Mumbai.
