Munster Rugby Signs New Props

Munster Rugby and the IRFU have signed props Conor Bartley and Dian Bleuler on short-term contracts.

Conor Bartley

  • Bartley is a Young Munster RFC prop.
  • He is 29 years old and can play on both sides of the scrum.
  • He played his schools rugby at Castletroy College and had a one-season stint with Garryowen.
  • For the last 10 years, he has been a key player for Young Munster, winning three consecutive Munster Senior Challenge Cup titles from 2021 to 2023.
  • He also played for the Ireland Clubs side against Portugal A in March 2024.
  • Bartley’s strong club performance led to his opportunity with Munster Rugby.

Dian Bleuler

  • Bleuler is a loosehead prop joining from the Hollywoodbets Sharks.
  • He is 25 years old and has experience representing South Africa U20s.
  • He started his professional career with Western Province and the Stormers.
  • In 2021, he joined the Sharks, where he has played in the Currie Cup, URC, and Champions Cup.
  • He played against Munster in a URC match at Thomond Park in October 2023.

Both players will provide essential front-row cover due to several injuries in the team.
