Investigation into the Murder of a Company Employee
The Sheikh Zayed Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of two persons for 4 days pending investigation for the murder of an employee of a company abroad in the Sheikh Zayed area.
Major General Hani al-Sharawi, director of criminal investigations in Giza, quickly ordered a security force to go to the reporting location to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
An inspection by Lt. Col. Islam Al Mahdawi, inspector of the Sheikh Zayed Division, revealed that the body was that of an accountant in his late thirties – the son of a former ambassador – and that there were obvious signs of trauma – various stab wounds and abrasions – on the body. Signs of materials scattered throughout his apartment.
Sheikh Zayed First Division head of investigation Lt. Col. Amr Mustafa visited the crime scene and listened to the statements of cameras around the house and examined his call logs to find discrepancies with others. There may be a motive behind the murder.
Giza security services have formed a crime investigation team in coordination with the public safety field to examine the surveillance cameras installed around the property where the incident occurred, to uncover the circumstances of the crime, victims and those who during the commission of the crime in addition to frequent property checks at the same time.
During the investigation, the deceased’s father said that his deceased son was working abroad for a month and was alone on vacation.
The Public Security Sector organized a massive security operation with the participation of the Giza Security Directorate to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the incident at their hideouts in Behera Governorate.
When the accused were confronted, they admitted that they alone committed the incident because of their knowledge of the victim’s residence, and that the burglary was in their minds, so they climbed onto the roof of the property where one of them lived and managed to jump. And entering the balcony of his residence they shocked him with an electric shock and hit him with a “knife” and a machete which belonged to the “victim” until his death and they seized his belongings and his mobile phone – a car which He had), and they disposed of the “knives and daggers” used in the incident.
One of the defendants admitted that (a person) “was in possession of the seized phone.” They also directed him to the department’s impounded vehicle in a parking lot of a commercial center.
