This collection surpasses previous record holders for television series on Blu-ray, including “Hawaii Five-0” (54 discs), “The Walking Dead” (56 discs), “Supernatural” (58 discs), and “The X-Files” (60 discs). However, it does not hold the overall record for Blu-ray box sets; the “Disney Legacy Animated Film Collection,” with 100 discs, retains that title.
The largest TV series disc box set remains “Prisoner – Cell Block H: The Complete Collection,” released on DVD in 2007. That set included 692 episodes across 179 DVDs.
The late Angela Lansbury starred as Jessica Fletcher, a mystery novelist from Maine who solved an improbable number of murders. Lansbury received an Emmy nomination for every year the show aired.
