To minimize disruption and displacement, the road corridor will be strategically maintained at 30 meters, a reduction from the standard 50 meters, utilizing the existing alignment wherever possible. Gen. Katumba further assured the public of the ministry’s dedication to efficient project execution. “The ministry will supervise the works internally to ensure cost control and adherence to timelines. There will be no room for delays or inflated budgets. We commit to delivering this project on time and within cost,” he pledged.
He urged the community to take ownership of the project, emphasizing its direct benefit to their daily lives. “This road is yours. The president may not use it daily, you will. Support the contractor.Own the project,” he encouraged, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and pride.

This crucial connection is poised to substantially boost inter-regional trade, invigorate tourism, and enhance access to vital markets for agricultural produce and other goods.
“Communities along this corridor will more easily access schools,hospitals,and job opportunities,” Hon. Lugoloobi added. “This is not just tarmac; it is a tool for transforming lives, especially for our youth.”
