Music Industry Signings and New Music Releases Heat Up Summer

Several artists have recently inked deals with major players in the music industry, while others are releasing new music just in time for summer.
Hawaiian singer-songwriter Maoli has signed with WME for global representation. Maoli, managed by Jason Gibbs, Shawn Dailey, and Emilie glover at Red Light, has amassed over 500 million streams across nine independent albums. He is currently touring the U.S. and will release his new album, Last Sip of Summer, on June 27.
Endurance Music Group has entered a joint venture recording deal with Matt Stell, who already had a publishing agreement with the company. Stell’s new single, “Heaven & Back,” was released May 30. He is managed by Rich MGMT.
American Idol finalist slater Nalley has signed with Play It Again Music for management. Dallas Davidson, Alyssa Ramsey, and Cade Price will represent him.
Singer-songwriter Cassandra Coleman has signed with Warner Records. Her debut single, “Coming of Age,” is scheduled for release June 6. The song was recorded at Electric Lady Studios with Jack Antonoff and his band Bleachers, co-produced by Antonoff and Scott Krueger. Coleman is scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Antonoff’s Shadow of the City.
Big Loud records has signed “beach-folk” band The 502s and released their new single, “Summer Fling.” The band is scheduled to play at Bourbon & Beyond, Borderland Music Festival, and othre festivals this summer.
Atlantic Music group and Avex Music Group have partnered to release future music from J-pop group ONE OR EIGHT. The companies will collaborate to promote the group’s upcoming single “365,” set for release June 18.
Nettwerk has signed metalcore artist PINKNOISE, who will release a new EP on the label. The first release under the deal is the single “Bittersweet.”
Rough Trade has signed Los Angeles-based six-piece band The Sophs. The label released the band’s single “Sweat” on May 20. The group is scheduled to perform in California, New York, and London this summer and fall.
