Bol by to príbeh ako z rozprávky, lenže všetko je napokon úplne inak. Zatiaľ čo 41-ročná biatlonová legenda bude súčasťou slovenského tímu a chystá sa na štvrtú účasť pod piatimi kruhmi,pre jej osemnásťročného syna sa sen o ZOH v Taliansku definitívne rozplynul.
Jelisej Kuzmin, ktorý patrí k najväčším slovenským talentom v behu na lyžiach, mal pritom výbornú formu. Nedávno sa zaskvel na podujatí Európskeho pohára FESA v rakúskom Seefelde, kde obsadil bronzovú priečku medzi juniormi v šprinte klasickou technikou.
O miestenku na olympiádu bojoval s Tomášom Cenekom. O päť rokov staršieho tímového kolegu pritom viackrát porazil a zdolal ho aj v priamom súboji v nemeckom Oberhofe, kde si mladý Kuzmin odbil debut v pretekoch Svetového pohára.
