Tiandeng County issued a notice stating that medium-sized feline carnivores were suspected to have appeared in Namu Village, Peiguang Village, Shangying Township, and reminded the public to take precautions. In Lianjia Village, Shangying Township, Tiandeng County, cattle at a cattle farm were bitten by an unknown carnivorous animal.

According to the head of the cattle farm, at 7:30 a.m. on August 25, he came to feed the 30-odd cattle on the farm. Unexpectedly, as soon as he entered the farm, he saw the cattle in the pen panicking and dodging. At the innermost part of the farm, there was an animal with black and yellow fur, weighing about 20 to 30 kilograms, similar to a small tiger, biting a cow and making it bleed all over.

After a stalemate with Xian Laibin for more than ten seconds, the animal growled and ran up the mountain unwillingly. After Xian Laibin’s inspection, a cow weighing 500 to 600 kilograms was bitten to death in the cattle farm, and four smaller cows were bitten.

Xian Laibin did not call the police afterwards, and the cow that was bitten to death was bought and eaten by villagers. It was not until a few days ago that he heard that cows in other villages were bitten by unknown carnivorous animals, and Xian Laibin reported to the police station that cows in his cattle farm were also bitten.

So, what exactly was the unidentified carnivorous animal that bit the cow? In the past two days, relevant departments of the autonomous region, Chongzuo City, and Tiandeng County have also intervened in the investigation, and wildlife protection experts have clearly stated that the possibility of it being a tiger has been ruled out.

Mr. Que, Section Chief of Guangxi Wildlife Rescue Center, said that it is not just Guangxi, but the entire South China for decades, from 1980 to now, there has been no real tiger picture. There is no evidence of real live tigers in the wild in the entire South China region. What do they eat in this ecological environment? They can’t find enough food. I dare to guarantee that there are no tigers in the entire Guangxi.

Mr. Que judged that judging from the weight and tooth shape of this carnivorous animal, it can be roughly inferred that it is one of the four ferocious beasts: clouded leopard, golden cat, leopard cat, and blue weasel. However, the clouded leopard has a relatively wide tooth pitch, so it can be ruled out, and the blue weasel is a social animal, so it can also be ruled out. The remaining two animals are the golden cat and leopard cat, but it cannot be ruled out that it may be other wild animals.
