A Celebration of Music and Community
Saint-Avold is gearing up for a vibrant Saturday, August 23, as the Nabor Rock Festival returns for its third edition. Organized by the Nabor Rock association, in close collaboration with the popular side one coffee shop, the festival promises a full afternoon of live music and a lively atmosphere for rock enthusiasts.
The festival builds on the success of its winter edition held in February, which one local music fan, Michael, described as having a “hell of a mood!” while enjoying a beer on the terrace of side one café.
Supporting Local Businesses
More than just a music event,Nabor Rock is designed to invigorate the heart of Saint-avold. “We want to share it with local trade,” explains Morgane, vice-president of the Nabor Rock association. Local businesses along the rue du Général-Hirschauer will remain open throughout the festival, providing festival-goers with dining options between sets. The city is contributing by handling the stage installation near the corner of rue des Tanneurs.
Preparations are in their final stages, with drinks already secured and food deliveries expected. Joseph Saeiva, manager of side one coffee and co-organizer, confirmed the team is ready for Saturday’s festivities.
The Lineup: A Diverse Range of Rock
The music begins at 2:00 PM with Caramelo,a group specializing in French song. They previously performed in front of side one coffee during a music festival. Following them,No Fireworks will take the stage, blending original compositions with 70s-inspired rock covers – a performance they previously hailed as “one of our best dates” at side one coffee.
The evening will escalate with Onspring,a rock-punk band,at 6:00 PM,followed by Kill The Drama Queen at 8:00 PM. Kill The Drama Queen will showcase their progressive metal compositions, citing influences like Tool, Deftones, and Alice in Chains, as shared by guitarist Mehdi. The festival will culminate with a performance by Coldstone, a heavy-rock band drawing inspiration from Metallica and Nickelback, bringing the event to a crescendo.
