Recall ⁢Details

Nestlé has initiated a voluntary recall of several infant formula products sold ⁣exclusively through pharmacies, following⁣ the detection of ⁢cereulide, a toxin, in a raw material supplied by a third-party vendor. ⁤Internal quality control procedures identified the non-conformity with food safety standards, prompting the ‌recall. The‌ presence of cereulide, while‌ detected in ⁤a raw material, necessitates the⁤ recall to ensure the safety⁣ of infants.

Understanding the Risk

Cereulide is a toxin ⁣produced‌ by certain bacteria.
