Egyptian-British actor Amir El-Masry is gaining international recognition with roles in the biographical sports film “Giant” and the second season of the American television series “The Agency.”
“Giant”: A Boxing Biopic
The film “Giant,” directed and written by Rowan Athale, chronicles the life of british-Yemeni boxer Naseem Hamed, from his humble beginnings in Sheffield to his world championship victory. The film, which premiered at the Red Sea Film Festival, features Pierce Brosnan alongside El-Masry. Sylvester Stallone served as a producer on the project.
“Giant” is scheduled for release in cinemas across Arab countries beginning January 14th. El-Masry is currently appearing in the second season of the American espionage thriller “The Agency.” He portrays Saeed, an Emirati intelligence officer, working alongside a prominent cast including Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey wright, Katherine Waterston, Harriet Sansom harris, John Magaro, and Richard Gere. The series is known for its international scope and complex storylines.
