Actress Natasha Lyonne was reportedly removed from a Delta Air Lines flight on the night of April 7, 2026, following an incident in which she allegedly failed to comply with crew instructions. The event occurred shortly after Lyonne attended the Los Angeles premiere of Euphoria season three.

According to reporting from Page Six, Lyonne boarded a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to New York City while still dressed in her red carpet attire, which consisted of a sheer top, a corset, stockings, and blue wraparound sunglasses. The Poker Face star was seated in first class, where crew members reportedly observed her dozing off behind her shades.

Flight Incident and Delay

Flight attendants reportedly attempted to rouse Lyonne multiple times, asking her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt in preparation for takeoff. Page Six reported that Lyonne remained incommunicado and did not respond to these instructions, appearing to be out of it during the interaction.

Although the aircraft had already taxied to the runway, pilots made the decision to return to the gate. Passengers were later informed that one traveler would need to be rebooked on a different flight. Upon returning to the gate, a Delta agent escorted Lyonne and her belongings off the plane. The incident resulted in a flight delay of just over one hour.

The removal from the flight caused Lyonne to miss a scheduled appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on April 8, 2026.

Public Response

On the afternoon of April 9, 2026, Lyonne addressed the situation via a post on X. She wrote, My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports. Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with @DrewBarrymore yesterday but guess wasn’t in the cards.

Public Response

In the same social media post, Lyonne questioned the ownership of the outlet that first reported the incident, asking, Who owns page six/New York Post now again?

Despite the travel disruptions earlier in the week, Lyonne was seen in New York on April 9, 2026, attending the premiere of Lorne at Alice Tully Hall.

Sobriety and Recovery Context

The incident has drawn attention to Lyonne’s recent public discussions regarding her sobriety. In January 2026, the actress announced to her followers that she had suffered a relapse after nearly a decade of sobriety.

On March 19, 2026, Lyonne provided a positive update on her recovery process via X, stating that she was doing a whole lot better & back on her feet.

Want to thank our recovery communities & the fans who stood by & were so supportive. Aiming to keep the journey somehow private, but look forward to sharing my experience, strength & hope as makes sense. My heart is with everyone ever going through it.

Natasha Lyonne via X, March 19, 2026

Lyonne had previously emphasized that recovery is a lifelong process in a post shared in January 2026, which has since been deleted. Representatives for Lyonne and Delta Air Lines have not yet responded to requests for further comment on the April 7 incident.
