New Council Aims to ‌Accelerate Health Innovation

A National Health Care Innovation Council has been ​established⁤ to⁢ facilitate the ⁤implementation of health innovations, ultimately enhancing patient access and improving health outcomes. The initiative follows NL Health Services’ (NLHS) annual Health Innovation Summit, where innovators presented a range of advancements, including robotic‌ surgery and more⁣ accessible birthing options.

Data-Driven Solutions are⁢ the Focus

according to Ron‍ Johnson, Vice President‍ of Digital Health,‍ Innovation⁣ and Research with NL⁣ health Services, the council will⁢ prioritize the development of⁣ data-driven, ⁢evidence-based, and personalized healthcare solutions. The ​creation of⁣ the council was a key outcome of the recent summit.

Johnson believes the‍ council will help overcome obstacles‌ to ​the⁢ widespread adoption of innovations across different regions. ⁣Specifically, it aims ‍to break down the barriers of moving innovation from one jurisdiction to another.
