National Margarita Day is nearly here, and restaurants across the country are offering deals on the popular tequila-based cocktail. Celebrated annually on February 22nd, this year’s festivities promise a wide range of specials, from discounted margaritas to exclusive merchandise.

Chili’s is making a significant splash with its National Margarita Day offerings. The restaurant chain recently launched a Margarita of the Month Club, accompanying its monthly release of a new $6 seasonally or culturally-inspired margarita. This month’s featured flavor is the StrawEddy Margarita. Chili’s is also distributing free cocktail passport books for customers to track their margarita adventures and has introduced a line of Margarita of the Month merchandise, including polo shirts priced at $45 and hats at $30.

Beyond the monthly specials, Chili’s will have several deals available on Sunday, February 22nd. These include a $5 Tequila Classic margarita, made with Cuervo Tradicional Blanco, triple sec, and Chili’s house-made sour. The $6 StrawEddy Margarita of the Month will also be available, alongside a $7 Frozen Daisy Pattern margarita, crafted with Patrón Silver Tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave.

Other restaurants are joining in the celebration. Benihana will offer $9 margaritas from February 22nd through February 25th. Chuy’s will allow customers to upgrade any House ‘Rita to a Grande for $2 more, including a special cup while supplies last, and offer $1 Floaters. Tacos County is offering $27 margarita pitchers through Sunday, February 22nd, and a new Mystery Margarita for $5 through March 2nd, with a chance to win free tacos for a year for those who correctly guess the flavor.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is offering $4 House Margaritas, $4 Sangria ‘Rita Swirls, and $4 Coors Light drafts. They’re also introducing two exclusive margaritas made with Organic Tequila Pants: the Party Pants Margarita, served in a limited-edition pants-shaped cup, and the Pants on Fire Margarita, featuring strawberry and jalapeño. Kona Grill will have margaritas for $6 from February 22nd to February 25th. Velvet Taco is offering $5 margaritas over the weekend through National Margarita Day.

For those seeking non-alcoholic options, Little Saints has released a new Non-Alcoholic Margarita, available online and in retail stores. The drink is described as having no sugar and only five calories.

Margaritaville is offering a special for members of its Paradise Points loyalty program: bring any cup, glass, or blender on February 22nd and receive a “Margarita in Paradise” (up to 20 ounces) for $2. Native Grill & Wings will have $6.50 Native Margaritas all day on National Margarita Day for dine-in customers. Crazy Eyes Sports Cantina is offering $3 shorty House Margaritas and $5 regular House Margaritas on February 21st and 22nd, along with other specials. Tequila Corralejo is also offering deals on its Reposado Tequila at Target and through BevMo delivery service. Margaritas Mexican Restaurants will have original and classic flavor margaritas for $6, Patrón margaritas for $9.99 served in a souvenir cup, and a Patrón Trees option for $39.

The enduring popularity of margaritas is reflected in tequila sales, which have outpaced overall spirits sales in recent years. Even with a 2.6% decrease in overall spirits sales this year, tequila sales have only declined by 2.1%, according to Bump Williams Consulting.
