MiraVista Offers Free Narcan on National Naloxone Awareness Day

HOLYOKE,Mass. — MiraVista Behavioral Health Center in holyoke is providing free Narcan, also known as naloxone, on National Naloxone Awareness Day, Friday, June 6. The center aims to highlight the importance of this life-saving medication adn promote access to treatment for opioid use disorder and related mental health issues.
narcan, an easy-to-administer medication, can quickly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. MiraVista is committed to increasing its availability to the public.
kim Lee, chief of Creative Strategy and Growth at MiraVista, emphasized the connection between substance use and mental health. She said the center’s approach offers same-day access to care,meeting individuals where they are in their recovery journey. MiraVista’s services include an Opioid Treatment program, intensive outpatient programs, individual counseling, and medical detox.
Anyone can obtain a free two-dose box of Narcan by visiting MiraVista’s lobby at 1233 Main St.in Holyoke.No insurance or identification is required; only a few pieces of data will be requested.
