San Diego-Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz is now on the 10-day injured list. The move comes after Ruiz was struck in the head by a foul ball off teammate Josh BellS bat while he was in the dugout Monday.
The Nationals reported that Ruiz sustained a head bruise from the incident. He immediately left the dugout after being hit and was replaced by Riley Adams.
following the Nationals’ 10-6 victory, ruiz underwent a CT scan. In a corresponding move, catcher Drew Millas was called up from Triple-A Rochester. Millas has a .247 batting average with four home runs and 25 RBIs in 52 games.
