RailTel Corporation of India, a state-owned enterprise, has secured a work order worth 2.43 billion rupees (approximately $30 million) from the State Project director, Bihar Education Project Council, according to a recent filing. The project focuses on supplying “students kit” to students in Classes 1-12 in Bihar’s government schools, enhancing educational resources.
The company must fulfill the order by Aug. 14, 2025. This new project adds to RailTel’s growing portfolio.
Earlier this month, on June 4, RailTel received an order valued at 2.744 billion rupees (about $33 million) from the Motor Vehicles Department, Maharashtra. This project involves designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining an Clever Traffic Management System (ITMS) at blackspots and vulnerable areas within the Vidarbha Circle for a 10-year period. RailTel is designated as a Navratna company, a status conferred by the central government in August 2024.
