The Record-Breaking Wave
On December 8,2023,Rodrigo Koxa successfully surfed a massive wave at Praia do Norte,Nazaré,Portugal. Initial estimates place the wave height at 95 feet (29 meters), possibly surpassing the previous record of 86 feet set by Garrett McNamara in 2011 Guinness World Records. The World Surf league (WSL) is currently reviewing the footage to officially validate the record.
