According to NBA data, approximately 425 million Chinese users follow NBA league, team, and player accounts on social media⁣ demonstrating a significant existing interest.

Focus on Developing Chinese Basketball Talent

NBA‍ Commissioner Adam Silver emphasized the⁤ league’s commitment to developing basketball talent within China. On Friday, October 10, 2025, the NBA announced a partnership with the⁣ Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) to support the development of elite Chinese players, coaches, and referees.⁤ This collaboration aims to strengthen‍ the foundation of Chinese basketball and create a pipeline of talent for both the CBA ⁢and potentially the NBA.
