Anthony Bennett: A Cavaliers’ Miss
The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Anthony Bennett with the first overall pick in 2013, hoping he would fill a void after LeBron James’ departure.Bennett, however, proved to be a significant misjudgment. While Victor Oladipo and Giannis Antetokounmpo emerged as stars from that draft, Bennett struggled, averaging just 4.4 points in 12.6 minutes over four seasons.
Kwame Brown: Jordan’s Gamble
Michael Jordan’s influence led the Washington Wizards to select Kwame Brown with the top pick in 2001. Brown, a high school phenom, did not develop into the star Jordan envisioned. After four seasons, he was traded. Brown later attributed his struggles to jordan and coach Doug Collins. He played 12 seasons as a role player,averaging 6.6 points and 5.2 rebounds.
