NBA & Skechers Launch ”Hoop Nation” Season Two in India
the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Skechers are collaborating to launch the second season of “Hoop Nation” in India. This docuseries explores the impact of basketball and the human spirit.
The four-part series, presented by Skechers, is available on the NBA India YouTube channel. It showcases stories of individuals using basketball to overcome challenges and build community. Original music from Indian hip-hop artists enhances the storytelling.
Season Two features figures like Ishrat Akhter, a wheelchair basketball player from Baramulla, Kashmir, and Deepak P. Babu, a fan and mentor from Alappuzha, Kerala. Isabel liao from Kolkata and basketball advocate Farooque Shaikh also appear.
Rajah Chaudhry, NBA Asia head of Strategy and NBA India Country Head, said the season embodies the spirit of basketball in India.
“Hoop Nation season two embodies the spirit of basketball in India – a game that unites, inspires, and drives change,” Chaudhry said. “Skechers shares the NBA’s goal of growing basketball in India and providing fans and players across the country with more opportunities to engage with the league and the game.”
