Kawhi Leonard Delivers, Pistons Crush Knicks!
Despite changes to the team following the departures of James Harden and Ivica Zubac, Kawhi Leonard continues to lead the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers defeated the Sacramento Kings 114-111 on Friday, .
Waiting for reinforcements to arrive after the trade deadline, the Californians were able to rely on an excellent performance from Kawhi: 31 points (9/19 shooting), 9 rebounds, and 7 assists. However, the Kings got off to a better start.
Starting in the lineup, Maxime Raynaud made an impact (12 points, 5 rebounds), while Malik Monk (18 points) and Dylan Cardwell (14 points and 14 rebounds) were effective off the bench. However, in his second game in Sacramento, Deandre Hunter struggled (6 points on 1/8 shooting).
Leonard also received support from John Collins (22 points) and Brook Lopez (15 points, 9 rebounds). With their 11th consecutive defeat, the Kings continue to struggle in the Western Conference.

The Eastern Conference clash saw the Detroit Pistons dominate the New York Knicks (118-80). The Motor City franchise quickly established a lead in the first quarter.
The starters didn’t need to exert themselves, with limited playing time for Cade Cunningham (11 points and 7 assists), Tobias Harris (15 points), and Isaiah Stewart (15 points). However, Daniss Jenkins (18 points) stood out.
On the other side, Mikal Bridges attempted to limit the damage (19 points on 7/16 shooting). But he was largely alone. Jalen Brunson (12 points on 4/20 shooting, including 0/8 from three-point range) failed to deliver a heroic performance. Mohammed Diawara (4 points, 2 rebounds) and Pacôme Dadiet (5 points) were quiet.
The Celtics’ Incredible Comeback, Wolves Fall…
Trailing by 22 points, the Boston Celtics managed to overturn the Miami Heat (98-96)! The Floridians seemed headed for a large victory at the TD Garden after a good start. Thanks to the duo of Andrew Wiggins (26 points) and Norman Powell (24 points), the Heat quickly took control of the game.
With interior support from Bam Adebayo (16 points, 7 rebounds), Boston seemed to have no solution. But after halftime, Jaylen Brown (29 points) and Derrick White (21 points) sparked the comeback! Payton Pritchard (24 points) and Nikola Vucevic (11 points and 12 rebounds in his debut) were also essential in completing the biggest comeback of the season for Boston.
As the Celtics made the difference in the final moments with a three-pointer from White, Davion Mitchell missed a shot to win the game with 2.7 seconds remaining. It was Boston’s fifth consecutive victory, and they are now second in the East.
Another comeback: the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-115. After a three-game losing streak and trailing by 18 points, the Pelicans were able to rely on a very effective trio.
In good form in recent weeks, Saddiq Bey (30 points, 9 rebounds) stood out despite his poor long-range shooting (3/10). Zion Williamson (29 points) and Trey Murphy (26 points) were also very valuable. The performance of rookie Derik Queen (17 points, 8 rebounds) was also noteworthy.
Despite Anthony Edwards’ (35 points) strong performance, the Wolves thought they were heading for a controlled victory. However, despite the work of Rudy Gobert (12 points, 16 rebounds) inside and a good game from Julius Randle (24 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists), they completely collapsed after the break.
Although Bones Hyland (20 points) was almost decisive in the final moments, Williamson had the last word. And Bey was solid on the free-throw line after Edwards missed a shot.

Milwaukee Extends Winning Streak, Blazers Roll
For the first time this season, the Milwaukee Bucks have recorded a third consecutive victory. The Wisconsin franchise dominated the Indiana Pacers (105-99). Still without Giannis Antetokounmpo, sidelined with an injury, the Bucks relied on Kevin Porter Jr (23 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds) and Ryan Rollins (22 points).
Coming off the bench, Bobby Portis (21 points) also had a significant impact. After a good start, the Pacers lost momentum. Without Ivica Zubac, who suffered an ankle injury, Andrew Nembhard (22 points) shot poorly (6/17). While Pascal Siakam (19 points) struggled from long range (1/8).
Indiana put up a fight, however, and threatened Milwaukee in the final moments. A 15-0 run completely reignited the game. However, Porter Jr initiated a 7-0 run for the Bucks to seal the victory.
Finally, the Portland Trail Blazers easily defeated the Memphis Grizzlies (135-115). Despite a good start from the Tennessee team, with Cam Spencer (18 points) and GG Jackson (15 points) holding their own without Ja Morant.
The Blazers then accelerated, and the Grizzlies were unable to keep up. Without Deni Avdija, Portland could count on Jerami Grant (23 points), Jrue Holiday (20 points), and Donovan Clingan (13 points, 17 rebounds).
The Blazers’ bench then took over, with a notable contribution from Rayan Rupert: 12 points (on 4/6 shooting) in 12 minutes. A controlled victory for Portland against a Memphis team adapting after the trade deadline.
