ROCK HILL, S.C. — The NBPA Top 100 Camp became a showcase for the next generation of basketball talent, with several sons of former NBA players making their mark. The event, held just before Father’s Day, highlighted the unique dynamic between these young prospects and their accomplished fathers.
Malik Olajuwon, son of Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, believes that having a father with NBA experience provides a meaningful advantage.”I think from the experience part of it, that may give us an advantage on the court,” Olajuwon saeid. “I don’t think it’s easier for us, though. I actually think it might be harder but just getting the advice and learning from someone that’s been there is big.” He emphasized the importance of learning from someone who has already navigated the challenges of professional basketball. The experience these young players gain helps them understand the vital role they play in their team’s success.

Notable Performances
Abdul Aziz (2026) and Malik Olajuwon (2027), sons of the legendary Hakeem Olajuwon, both had strong showings. Aziz earned a spot on the camp’s first team, highlighted by a 24-point, six-rebound performance. Malik Olajuwon averaged 7.2 points and 2.4 assists.
