Rhode Island Rams Add Malik Lubin Via Transfer

The Rhode Island Rams men’s basketball team has secured a significant addition to their roster with the transfer of Malik Lubin. Lubin, formerly with the Vanderbilt Commodores, is set to bring his scoring and rebounding prowess to the Rams.
Last season at Vanderbilt, Lubin posted career-best numbers, averaging 12.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. The Rhode Island Rams are hoping Lubin can be a weapon from three-point range.
Lubin began his college career at Notre Dame, where he averaged 6.2 points and 4.4 rebounds as a freshman.
Across his three college seasons,Lubin has started 53 games.
Rhode Island rams coach Archie miller lauded lubin’s efficiency and basketball acumen. “He’s an incredibly efficient scorer,” Miller said. “Beyond that, he has a high basketball IQ and will be a tremendous presence in our locker room.”
What’s next
Lubin is expected to integrate into the Rams’ lineup quickly and contribute considerably to their upcoming season as they look to improve their standing in the Atlantic 10 conference.
