The road to Omaha and the Men’s College World Series begins Friday as regional play gets underway. The 64-team tournament starts with action at various sites.
The NCAA Division 1 baseball tournament unfolds in four stages, concluding with the Men’s College World Series Finals. the Regionals mark the first stage, featuring 64 teams split into 16 four-team brackets. These brackets operate as double-elimination tournaments, hosted by one of the 16 national top seeds.
Winners advance to the Super Regionals, an eight-pairing, best-of-three series. From there, eight teams move on to the Men’s College World series in Omaha, Nebraska. These teams are divided into two double-elimination brackets. The winners of each bracket then face off in a best-of-three series for the NCAA Championship.
Top seeds and Automatic Bids
