The ⁣University of Michigan women’s ⁢track and field team is making waves at the⁣ NCAA Outdoor Championships,‍ with four athletes set to compete in Saturday’s finals. Their performances highlight the team’s talent⁣ and dedication.

Aasia Laurencin ‌started strong in the 100-meter hurdle semifinals, clocking ‌in at 12.80 seconds. Laurencin’s time, a personal best and the third-best in program history, secured⁣ her ⁤spot in her first outdoor championship final.

Ziyah Holman showcased her strength in the 400 meters, finishing ‍in⁣ 50.40 seconds. Holman’s time not only earned her a place in the finals but also set a new school record. She finished second in her heat,battling Florida’s Talitha Diggs to secure an automatic qualification.

Savannah Sutherland also ⁣automatically⁣ qualified for the 400-meter ⁤hurdle finals, winning her heat with ​a time of 55.70 seconds. Sutherland’s performance⁤ placed her third overall and‍ marked the second-best time in program history, just behind her own school record.

Aurora rynda strategically raced her‍ way into the 800-meter finals, finishing in 2:03.37. Rynda⁤ held back early, then surged in the final stretch to overtake penn State’s Rachel Gearing and secure second place in⁤ her ⁣heat.
