The briefing will focus on programs including CalFresh (California’s food assistance program), CalWorks (California Work Prospect and Obligation to People), CAPI (Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants), and General Relief, all designed to support individuals and families facing economic hardship and food insecurity.
Medi-Cal and Immigration Status
A key component of the session will be dedicated to Medi-Cal, California’s Medicaid program. The briefing will specifically address how Medi-Cal can provide healthcare access, irrespective of immigration status, offering crucial support to a wider range of community members.
