This update comes after a previous update for the Nest Wifi point in May 2025, which delivered “Improved Wi-Fi mesh connection stability and resilience,” and an update to the router in October 2024.
Google’s Wifi devices receive updates automatically overnight. Users can manually check their device’s software version within the Google Home app by navigating to the device settings and then selecting “Software information” under the “Wi-Fi information” section.
Nest Wifi Pro Update Earlier in 2026
This latest update for the Nest Wifi router and point follows a software update for the Nest Wifi Pro released in March 2026. The Nest Wifi Pro update, version 3.78.518349, included mesh network performance improvements and also addressed stability and security vulnerabilities, as of February 23, 2026.
Google Wifi Software Versions
As of September 2022, the Google Wifi device was running software version 14150.376.32. That update included Thread Border Router support on Nest Wifi routers and points, improved WAN offline insights, IPv6 stability enhancements, and general security, stability, and performance improvements.
Google notes that software versions are rolled out over a number of days or weeks, meaning not all devices will receive the update simultaneously.
