Cape Canaveral, FL – February 13, 2026 – SpaceX successfully launched a four-person crew to the International Space Station (ISS) today, fulfilling a critical need for personnel following an unexpected medical evacuation from the orbital outpost. The launch, originating from Space Force Station Pad 40 in Cape Canaveral, Florida, marks NASA’s first medical evacuation from the ISS in 65 years and underscores the importance of rapid response capabilities in space exploration.

The Crew-12 mission, as it’s being called, carried astronauts Jack Hathaway (pilot), Andrei Fedyaev (Russian cosmonaut), Jessica Meir (commander) and Sophia Adenot (ESA astronaut, France) aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft. The crew is en route to relieve the previous team, whose early return to Earth necessitated this expedited launch.

The Crew-11 astronauts docked with the Harmony module on August 2, 2025.
