New Beginnings, Safer Futures: Machali Police Station’s Rule of Law Campus Activity Sets a Shining Example in Golog Prefecture, China
Starting from “New” and Putting Safety First: A Brief Note on the Rule of Law Campus Activity of Machali Police Station
With the arrival of the new semester, students are looking forward to returning to campus and starting a new learning journey. At the same time, the police officers of the Machali Police Station of the Public Security Bureau of Maduo County, Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, are also busy because they have to go to the campus to bring students a rich “first lesson of the new semester”. This class not only covers traffic safety and flood prevention knowledge, but also explains in depth the key points of prevention of telecommunications network fraud and network security, protecting students’ safety in all aspects and building a solid campus safety line.
Recently, the “Look at Qinghai for Safe Construction” Golog interview team came to the Maduo County Public Security Bureau and followed the police into the campus.
On that sunny morning, the police officers from the Machali Police Station walked into the Maduo County National Boarding Primary School in neat police uniforms with smiles on their faces. In the classroom, the police officers first explained traffic safety knowledge, and through vivid cases and figurative metaphors, explained to the students the importance of abiding by traffic rules, and also interacted cordially with the students.
“Students, do you know that just like you need to look at traffic lights when walking, you also need to obey traffic rules when riding a bike or taking a car.” Chai Fushou, deputy director of the Machali Police Station, explained in plain language, “You need to wear a helmet when riding a bike and fasten your seat belt when taking a car. These are important measures to protect our own safety.”
Then, she turned the topic to flood prevention knowledge, and combined the current weather conditions with the flood prevention experience over the years to popularize the importance of flood prevention and countermeasures to the students. The students listened with great interest.
“If we encounter heavy rain, we should try to stay indoors and not go outdoors. If we must go out, pay attention to the road conditions and avoid walking into areas with deep water.” Sister Chai Fushou reminded.
When explaining the prevention of telecommunications and Internet fraud and network security knowledge, the police revealed to the students common telecommunications and Internet fraud methods and network security risks through real cases and vivid demonstrations.
“Students, if you receive a call from a stranger saying congratulations on winning a prize or that they want to refund you, don’t believe it easily. Hang up the phone first, and then explain to your parents or teachers.” The police reminded students, “Don’t click on unfamiliar links when surfing the Internet, and don’t disclose your personal information. These are important measures to maintain network security.”
In order to help students better grasp the relevant knowledge, the police also carried out a series of interesting interactive activities. They asked students to play roles in groups and simulate how to deal with situations such as traffic violations, heavy rain, and telecommunications network fraud. The students actively participated, and the atmosphere was warm and orderly.
“Through this activity, I learned a lot of practical safety knowledge.” Aangdajie, monitor of Class 2, Grade 5, said excitedly after the activity. “I learned that I need to wear a helmet when riding a bike and fasten my seat belt when riding a car. I also learned how to deal with heavy rain. More importantly, I learned how to prevent telecommunications fraud and network security risks.”
As the bell rang, this special “first lesson of the new semester” also ended, but the emphasis on safety, respect for life and a beautiful vision for the future were deeply rooted in the hearts of every child. The police officers of the Machali Police Station proved with practical actions that they are not only the guardians of safety, but also the guides on the road of students’ growth.
