The dance music scene is buzzing with activity.Grimes recently canceled her scheduled performance at D.C. World Pride, citing “family issues.” Meanwhile,Fred again.. has been announced as a headliner for the upcoming Fuji rock Festival in Japan. Rezz has also relocated her show to SummerStage in Central Park, due to delays at Brooklyn Mirage.
In other news, Jamie xx’s influential album, In Colour, just marked its 10-year anniversary. Alan Walker is developing an app designed to foster deeper connections between artists and fans, aiming to cut through online noise. Blond:ish and Kiko Franco have reimagined Moby’s “Natural Blues” with an Afro house twist. Moby himself praised the update, calling it the “song of the summer.” “Natural Blues” is out on Defected Records.
