New Edition, Boyz II Men and Toni Braxton Deliver R&B Masterclass on “The New Edition Way Tour”

Los Angeles played host to a standout performance of “The New Edition Way Tour” over the weekend, as New Edition, Boyz II Men and Toni Braxton captivated audiences at the Kia Forum during Grammy weekend. The 30-city tour, which kicked off on January 29th, 2026, delivered a three-hour setlist featuring over 40 songs, according to reports from EBONY magazine and the Los Angeles Times.

The concert began at 8:21 pm with New Edition taking the stage, dressed in all-white, followed by Toni Braxton and Boyz II Men. The performance showcased each artist’s hits across decades, with frequent support through background vocals and choreography.

The setlist included classics such as New Edition’s “N.E. Heart Break,” “You’re Makin’ Me High,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and “Motownphilly,” alongside Boyz II Men’s “Sensitivity,” “Can You Stand the Rain,” “Roni,” and “I’ll Make Love to You.” Toni Braxton performed hits like “There U Go” and “Hit the Freeway,” which EBONY noted remains a fan favorite. New Edition also took fans back to 1983 with a performance of “Candy Girl.”

The show included a poignant moment when Toni Braxton dedicated her performance of “Breathe Again” to both her late sister Tracy and Whitney Houston, as reported by EBONY. Boyz II Men honored those recently lost with a rendition of “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday,” accompanied by images of Roberta Flack, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Rob Reiner, Angie Stone, and Richard Smallwood, among others.

A viral moment of the night came with the surprise appearance of Kayla Nicole, who previously gained attention for her rendition of Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough.” Nicole joined Braxton and her dancers onstage for a performance of the 2000 hit, sparking another viral moment, according to EBONY.

Adding to the excitement, B2K surprised the crowd with a performance of their 2002 song, “Bump, Bump, Bump!”

The energy reached a peak when Bell Biv DeVoe (BBD) performed “Poison,” a song the crowd had been anticipating, as noted by EBONY. The concert concluded at 11:24 pm with white and gold confetti filling the air.
