Badia University Inauguration: A Milestone in Egypt’s Education Sector
Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouli, inaugurated Badia University in New October City, marking a significant milestone in the country’s education sector. The university is a result of a collaboration between the Egyptian government and the private sector, with the University of Texas as a key partner.
The university will offer various academic programs, including medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, business administration, and computer science. With a capacity to accommodate over 12,000 students, Badia University aims to provide an integrated and enjoyable learning experience, with a focus on academic, sports, and recreational services.
Academic Vision and Partnerships
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, highlighted the importance of private higher education institutions in Egypt, citing Badia University as a prime example of successful collaboration between the government and the private sector. He also emphasized the role of private universities in providing therapeutic services, with 9 hospitals affiliated with private universities expected to be operational by the end of the year.
Dr. Hossam El-Melahi, President of Badia University, expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for his support and highlighted the university’s academic vision, which focuses on providing high-quality education and research opportunities. He also emphasized the importance of partnerships with international institutions, such as the University of Texas, in advancing scientific research and development.
Investment in Education
Yasin Mansoor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Palm Hills, emphasized the company’s commitment to investing in education, citing Badia University as a model for successful partnership between the government and the private sector. He also highlighted the importance of education in driving economic and social development, and expressed his intention to increase investment in establishing educational facilities according to international standards.
University Facilities and Technology
The university’s facilities include state-of-the-art classrooms, clinical skills laboratories, anatomy laboratories, and libraries. The Prime Minister and his companions also visited the Skill Hall, where they saw a model of a robot working through artificial intelligence, designed to help students train on medical conditions and make accurate diagnoses.
