Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire Announces New Management Team
Abidjan, September 19, 2024 - The Board of Directors of Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire is pleased to announce the new team that will ensure the General Management of the bank alongside Mr. Patrick BLAS, Managing Director of Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire.
The new management team includes:
- Mr. Baptiste HARTZ: Deputy General Manager in charge of Individual and Professional Customers and Innovation;
- Mr. Magloire N’GUESSAN: Deputy Director General in charge of the General Secretariat, Finance and Resources;
- Mr. Brice OBLE: Deputy General Manager in charge of Customers and Corporate Payments.
The Board of Directors expresses its full confidence in this new management team, to continue and strengthen the growth dynamics of Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire, in accordance with the strategy of the Société Générale group.
Biographies
Mr. Baptiste Hartz
With more than 17 years of experience within the Société Générale Group, Mr. Hartz began his career in the Audit and Inspection department where he spent ten years in every profession and geography of the Group.
Between 2015 and 2023, he held sales management positions within BRD, a subsidiary of the Société Générale Group in Romania with strong expertise in private and professional customers, and digital transformation. Graduated from Marseille Business School (Kedge Business School).
Mr. Magloire N’Guessan
With more than 17 years of experience within the Société Générale Group, Magloire began his career in derivatives trading at BNP Paribas in Paris before joining SG Group General Inspection. In 2017, he became Managing Director of Société Générale Capital Securities and vice-president of the association of management company professionals, before taking the helm of Société Générale Tchad as Managing Director from 2019 to 2022. The last two years, he held the position of Regional Resources Director- COO for the West Africa region. Magloire is a graduate of ENSEA, EM Lyon Business School in France and the IMD (Executive Leadership Programme).
Mr. Brice Oble
With more than 20 years of experience in large international banking groups. He worked at Société Générale in Paris and at the investment banks Natixis and UBS in Switzerland, where he held various positions: Senior Credit Risk Analyst, Executive Director of Structured Finance and Trade Finance. Before joining Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. OBLE is Deputy General Manager Commercial (Corporate Client, Private and Professional Clients, Specialist Financing and Digital Banking) within Société Ivoirienne de Banque (SIB) since 2022.
He has a Public Works engineering diploma obtained from the Ecole Supérieure des Travaux Publics de Yamoussoukro (ESTP/INPHB – Ivory Coast). He is also a graduate of EM Lyon Business School (France) and Harvard Business School (Advanced Africa Executive Program – USA).
