NEUBRANDENBURG, Germany (AP) — The archive of imaging art in Neubrandenburg, located in the Mecklenburg Lake District, is marking its 10th anniversary with the opening of a new exhibition, “Life Sign.” The exhibition opened this past weekend.
Featured Artists and Their Work
The “Life Sign” exhibition showcases a diverse collection of paintings,sculptures,and graphics. Featured artists include Adelheid Sandhof, Gabriele Schulz, and Gertraud Wendlandt.
Visiting the Exhibition
The exhibition will be open to the public on April 5 and April 12, from 3 p.m.to 6 p.m.Visitors can also schedule viewings by appointment.
A Decade of Preserving Regional Art
Founded in 2015, the archive initially served as the first state art archive in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. it transitioned into an association in 2024. The archive preserves and presents the works of artists from the Mecklenburg Lake District.
Extensive Collection
The archive’s collection includes several hundred paintings, sculptures, and graphics. Works by Wolfram Schubert, Joachim Lautenschläger, and Karlheinz Wenzel are among those preserved.
