New Hemodynamics Equipment Arrives at ISSSTE, Announces Martí Batres
Martí Batres, the director of ISSSTE, announced the introduction of new hemodynamics equipment. This equipment aims to reduce the number of heart attacks, which are the leading cause of death in Mexico. Currently, there are about 23 heart attack fatalities each hour in the country.
These hemodynamics tools support various medical procedures, including catheterization and pacemaker placement. Installation has occurred in 25 hospitals across 21 states. The total investment for each piece of equipment is 23 million pesos.
Out of 31 total units, 23 have completed installation, 6 are fully operational, and 1 will start operating on November 30. The initiative prioritizes improved healthcare services and continues efforts from the previous administration to enhance patient care.
