Megrass Garden Nagoya, a new large-scale garden facility, has opened in the Nagoya Port area on April 23, 2026, marking a significant addition to the region’s leisure and tourism offerings.

The garden, which reopened after renovations from the former Nagoya Port Wildflower Garden Bluebonnet, focuses on perennial plants and bulbs to create a “garden with 365 seasons” where visitors can experience diverse flora throughout the year.

Designed with six overlapping zones that blend together and gradually shift in atmosphere, the garden allows visitors to enjoy the space like an art exhibition, with changing landscapes reflecting the life cycles of plants from budding to flowering, and seeding.

A special feature is the “Secret Garden,” open only from spring equinox to around June, which offers an immersive experience surrounded by densely planted flowers during the spring season.

In early summer, many perennial plants come into bloom, while in autumn, visitors can appreciate the beautiful form of seed heads—flowers that have developed seeds—adding seasonal interest beyond the flowering period.

The facility includes the Me-Stand Café, which will serve specialty tea and scones from the tea brand TEAPOND, providing a refreshment option for guests exploring the garden.

On April 25, 2026, just two days after opening, Megrass Garden Nagoya hosted a live public broadcast of ZIP-FM’s popular program “Sparkling” from the garden’s Sunny Hall, running from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, featuring navigator Chisei Kiyoshi and guest Ankako Ariya, former member of Momoiro Clover Z, with a mini-live performance planned.

The garden is located at 42 Shiomi-cho, Minato-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, and can be contacted at 052-870-6650. It is operated by Chubu Electric Power Company, with management handled by Tsutui Corporation.
