ALMERÍA,Spain (May 4,2025) – The University of Almería (UAL) has announced the appointment of new faculty members across its medicine,nursing,and physiotherapy departments. The appointments,formalized by Rector José Joaquín Céspedes Lorente,signify a strengthening of the university’s academic resources in key health science areas.
Medicine Faculty Appointment
David Lozano Paniagua has been named Professor of Medicine within the Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Medicine. Paniagua, who earned a Doctor of Clinical Medicine and Public Health degree from the University of Granada in 2017, brings a wealth of research experiance to the role.His work has focused on molecular biomarkers, specifically enzymatic and genetic markers, for assessing the subclinical toxicity of pesticides.
Paniagua’s doctoral research in toxicology was conducted within the Department of Legal Medicine,Toxicology,and Physical Anthropology at the University of Granada. He also completed a research stay at the Toxicology and Laboratory of Forensic Sciences in Crete, Greece.
